What to do

Some of you will be traveling from far away and you may wish to extend your stay beyond the weekend. If you do there are some lovely places to visit nearby such as Stow-on-the-Wold, Blenham Palace, Daylesford Farm, and many more. Please find below some of our recommendations.

Given we are not too far from Oxford we would definitely recommend planning a day or two, please see our recommendations for Oxford separately here.

  • The Old Butchers (Stow-on-the-Wold) – Great seafood and much more

  • The Wild Rabbit (Kingham) – High-end pub (must be booked well in advance, or eat at the bar)

  • Daylesford Organic Farm (Daylesford) – Farmshop, Café, and restaurant great for lunch 

  • The Kings Head (Bledington) – Great English pub

  • The Chequers (Churchill) – Another great pub

  • The Feathered Nest Country Inn (Nether Westcote) – Best fine dining in the area

  • The Porch House (Stow-on-the-Wold) – Renowned as the oldest pub in the World 

  • The Sheep (Stow-on-the-Wold) – Gastropub, good pizza, and great bar

  • D'Ambrosi Fine Foods - High end take away/deli

  • The Hive – Best breakfast around

  • The New England Coffee – Best place for sit down coffee or tea
