Day Trip to Oxford
Oxford is a 45-minute drive from Cornwell Manor and an absolute must if you are extending your trip! We spend a couple of days there in July before our friend’s wedding and loved it, so if you are staying longer it is well worth planning a trip for a day or two to Oxford.
Where to Stay
We stayed at the Old Bank Hotel and cannot recommend them enough! The hotel is located in the city center and has a lovely courtyard with a great restaurant.
What to do
It’s a cliché but we highly recommend going punting in Oxford, you simply cannot miss it! The Magdalen Bridge Boathouse has great boating options as follows www.oxfordpunting.co.uk.
We also went on a private walking tour of Oxford which is a great way to see the city and Oxford University (especially if you are a Harry Potter fan like Sophie!). You can either book group walking tours or a private tour as follows www.Walkingtoursofoxford.com.
